Stay at Avenir Cottage to relax and disconnect in nature, year-round. This bright open concept cottage with loft is simply furnished with all the basic amenities to create your own space to unwind. Nestled among birch trees away from busy roads, sip your morning coffee overlooking the lake, or go for a paddle in your kayak. Cozy up by the woodstove or look up at the many stars at night. Located just under 1.5 hours from Halifax, it is close to New Germany, Mahone Bay, and the ocean. This cozy cottage, two bedroom, one bath is located along a private dirt road with limited cell range. You’ll find magazines, books, and board games including Crokinole, BBQ. There is private lake access, and the lake is much larger and deeper than most would expect.

Charlotte's place was a beautiful weekend getaway, we will definitely return! The cabin has everything you could need and the lake is beautiful for swimming or paddling. We brought out paddle boards and the lake was full of endless adventures and we had the most beautiful sunset paddle. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in nature this is a great place to stop.
We loved our stay at Charlotte's cottage! We rented it on a was a very cold spring weekend, so absolutely enjoyed the wood fireplace. We had a wonderful relaxing family weekend playing board games and reading. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone who needs a relaxing weekend getaway.
A beautiful spot! Very private, peaceful, and just what you need if you desire a relaxing getaway! The lake also steps away from the cabin, which would be great for swimming or any water activities. We cannot wait to come back. Thanks, Charlotte!

This is a beautiful and picturesque inland part of Nova Scotia, near Lunenburg, New Germany, Bridgewater, Chester and Mahone Bay. There are hikes very close by, including Indian Falls, and Lunenburg County Winery and Ironworks Distillery just a short drive away.
