Very peaceful and quite, what we were looking for the 4th of July ,Love the deer visiting daily and at night. Comfortable beds, amenities, thick towels, love the cross breezeway through out the house.

Everyone said how great it was. Great layout! Not a bad commute to Ellensburg for graduation ceremonies. Nice to come back and relax.

As a long-time AirBnB user, I appreciated Leah's responsiveness which made check-in and overall communication smooth, and certainly a positive aspect of my experience. However, I was disappointed with the property's cleanliness. Upon arrival, I found a dead bug in the entry foyer. Then when readying for bed after a long day prepping for my son's wedding, I had to change the master bed linens as I found a dead fly, stray hairs, and makeup, which made me question the house's overall cleanliness. As a guest, cleanliness is important. I understand cleaning fees are necessary, but the amount charged should be reflective of the actual cleanliness provided. The cleaning fees were unreasonably high given the subpar conditions I experienced and given that we had to also take out the garbage and strip the bed linens. Leah never even offered any refund on the cleaning fees which was disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to enhance the overall experience for future guests.

My son got married less than 10 minutes away at a place called The Cattle Barn. Elk Retreat was the perfect place to relax when not doing wedding stuff. When we walked one morning a wild turkey ran by us. When we got home 2 separate evenings there were deer out front. Honestly, the house was better than the pictures depicted. We would highly recommend this place, even for just a private hideaway for a long weekend

The house is in a semi-remote, secluded location, but just a few miles from Cle Elum. It was clean and quiet. Our two dogs we allowed in the home which enhanced our stay. We prepared most of our meals and found the kitchen to be well equipped and stocked with most of the basic cooking supplies (oils, spices). There are plenty of games, Netflix, and DVDs to keep the family entertained. WiFi worked very well. We used the house as a landing spot after day driving trips around the area. Overall we had a nice restful stay. Leah provided all necessary communication and an easy self check-in/check-out process. I would recommend this property.
