Cochise County · 农家乐里的独立房间 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · The "Appaloosa Room" at Yaqui Hideout.
Yaqui Hideout can feel like it is in the middle of nowhere but the Sulphur Springs Valley is bordered by Cochise Stronghold, Dos Cabezas and the Chiricahua National Monument...all stunning places to go for touring, hiking and bird watching. The 3 private rooms (Appaloosa, Palomino, and Pinto) and horse paddocks are within a 4 acre compound. The high desert presents dramatic skies day or night; with our elevation at 4,250 ft we have cooler temperatures year round. The Appaloosa room has a king bed, a sitting area, table for meals, and private bathroom with shower. The kitchenette has a small counter area with a microwave, mini refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker and sink. The unit is meant for light food prep and does NOT have a stove/oven. There are decks in the courtyard to enjoy the outdoors. This room is pet-free; please the other listings if you are traveling with a pet.
Patrick is a great host. Loved the space and the area. It is so peaceful. Will definitely be back!
Patrick’s place is lovely!! It is very quiet, there are cute animals, and it’s very peaceful and private. Patrick is a very kind, wonderful host.
Such a wonderful and unique place! So much more than we even expected! I would 100% stay there again!
Patrick and Bob were wonderful hosts. Their accommodations in the Appaloosa room were phenomenal. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I liked their extra touch of the homemade muffins that they placed in the kitchen for breakfast along with an assortment of snacks and drinks. Petting their dogs and cats and seeing the goats in the hideout was an added bonus. Patrick was even kind enough to show us an owl that had taken up residence in the barn which was super neat! Their recommendations as to where to eat in the local area were helpful. Bob also recommended us to go see the roadside attraction “The Thing!” which was fun. Overall, the Yaqui Hideout is a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely stay there again.
Pearce is officially registered as a ghost town in Arizona and that becomes quite clear when you visit Old Historic Pearce. Probably most properties around here have a story and ours is that our place was built by a drug lord, which is why it has a ten-foot wall surrounding four acres. After the DEA stepped-in the next owners ran it as an Ostrich farm. Most recently owners ran an equine therapy operation consisting of several paddocks, a covered riding arena, large barn, our house and the “Bunk House” where guests can stay and Bob has his basket weaving studio. Out front are the lavender fields and another adjacent 30 acres of natural mesquite groves; home to diverse wildlife like deer, quail, jackrabbits, coyotes, roadrunners and a vast variety of birds.
Southeastern Arizona offers many historical and interesting sites. Within an about hour you could be in Bisbee, Tombstone, Cochise Stronghold, or the Chiricahua National Monument. Willcox is home too many vineyards and wine tasting is available to the public.
Come and experience the beauty and wonder of southern Arizona.
