This stay was the most stressful holiday we have ever had as a family. We had contacted the host and AirBNB before arrival after seeing some of the more recent negative reviews, and were reassured that all of the issues had been fixed. They hadn’t! When we arrived, it was apparent it hadn’t been cleaned. Beds left after previous guests, skid marks in toilets, towels thrown on the stairs and the bins overflowing. We phoned PassTheKeys (property managers) straight away and they got onto the cleaners. We also phoned AirBNB to send them photos of the disgusting state we arrived to. The cleaning company RASCO arrived about an hour later and assured us they would clean the house now and that they had got delayed on other jobs. The owner of the cleaning company offered to cover dinner out for us for the inconvenience. The CEO of Pass The Keys also got in contact to apologise The next morning, we came down to a light fitting hanging off the wall with all the electrics exposed and also to the gas boiler faulting therefore meaning we had no hot water. We phoned the CEO straight away and she said she would send someone out to fix the boiler. The handyman who came out had no clue how to fix the boiler so phoned one of his colleagues who also had no idea. Eventually, it was agreed that they needed to get a Gas Specialist out and was assured they would arrive by 6 in the evening. They didn’t arrive and by 8, we said enough is enough as we needed to put the kids to bed. We were assured it would be fixed on the Monday. On Monday morning the power went off completely! So again, phoned the CEO who said she would investigate that and get the gas sorted. We went out for the day, leaving the keys in the box by the door so anyone could get in if needed. I kept checking in with the CEO during the day, only to be told that the electrics was a fault with the whole street and that it was back on and that the gas engineer would be out early afternoon. We arrived home around 4 to the gas engineer just arriving and the power still being off. The gas engineer showed us that the boiler wasn’t the issue but infact the meter was showing only 13p left of credit for gas and the electric was £3 into emergency credit. So no street fault atall! The hosts hadn’t paid the bills! And they’d been cut off! Who does that on a property they are letting out? Again phoned the CEO who got very angry with my wife and upset her when we were only looking out for our family and trying to ensure we could enjoy the rest of our holiday. Especially after spending £2,500 for the pleasure of this for the week! The CEO did phone to apologise later on and offered us a 3 night refund for the issues. The hosts paid the bills and the electric came back on. The gas however continued to be intermittent for the rest of the week so we had to use the immersion for the hot water. There were also a constant stream of ants across the kitchen floor, one half of the toaster didn’t work and the Internet password was the one on the back of the router not the one in the check-in guide! The stress of the first 3 days tarnished the rest of the holiday in what was a nice spacious house, yes it was tired and needed a good clean, but so many of the issues could have been avoided if the property had been managed effectively and standard checks done (last gas safety check was 2020!). The location was ideal for the beach and for the short walk into Bournemouth centre. We love Bournemouth and have used other AirBNB properties other years and they have always been really well looked after and provided great bases for the week. This one certainly didn’t. We won’t be returning and won’t be using AirBNB again as it left us feeling vulnerable and unsupported with our two young children who just wanted to be on holiday.
The house is in a great location and has lots of space and facilities but some areas of the house are in need of updating. We had some issues on arrival with no hand towels, pillow cases and welcome pack but the third party company was very responsive by telephone and messenger. Hopefully these issues will have been resolved for any future stays.

步行即可抵达许多景点,但如果您决定搭乘巴士或乘坐出租车,一点也不麻烦。
