The location is perfect for winter skiing, sledding, and snowboarding. In the fall, hike below the beautiful foliage, and in the spring/summer be sure to check out the nearby swimming holes, more hiking, antiquing, and local farms & vineyards.

Kaaterskill Clove Lookout (25 min drive)
Scenic views of the Lower Kaaterskill Clove and the Hudson Valley. 1.8 mile round trip hike with dramatic views of Kaaterskill Clove. For most of the hike the Long Path follows the Sleepy Hollow Horse Trail, the route of the old Harding Road that led from Palenville to the Hotel Kaaterskill. Access the trailhead on Rt 23A in Palenville, just west of the "Entering Catskill Park" sign. At the bottom you will find Kaaterskill Creek for swimming at the bottom.
