Kalimira! Tarpon Springs is a small town situated on Florida’s west coast. It is prized for its sponge harvesting and Greek heritage. Greek influence rules this village of restaurants, stores and social clubs and Greek is spoken in many places. Houses are cottage style and some streets are still brick lined. Fishing, shrimping and sponging boats can be seen going to and fro on the tranquil river. The sounds of sea gulls and Greek music fill the air. Walk to the docks from our rental.

This place is a gem. The outside looks like a cottage but when you open the door, it’s the wow effect! The rooms are huge. I love the hardwood floors. The rooms are huge. The check in was seemless. Jim met us at the driveway. He gave us a tour and then checked in periodically. It was great. For me and my family the location was awesome. We were a stone’s throw from the sponge docks and some amazing Greek food. It was a wonderful experience!

This is a return booking for us and it did not disappoint! The location is perfect for exploring Tarpon Springs on foot. Jim is the most helpful host we have had without being intrusive. His place is very comfortable and easy to be in. We look forward to another return booking next year.

Our rental is located in Tarpon’s Historic District. There are numerous Victorian style homes mixed with smaller cottages and brick lined streets. Beautiful Spring Bayou is one block away. See dolphins and manatee.

出行信息

The historic Sponge Docks and Greek Town are within a 5 minute walk. Here you will find authentic Greek food, stores, scenic boat trips and things to do. Just sit along the docks and watch the sponge and shrimp boats head to the open Gulf of Mexico along the Anclote River which runs through the town. If you head east from our front porch you will walk into the part of Tarpon best known for its variety of stores, coffee shops, cafes and numerous non Greek restaurants. Area beaches are a short drive away. There is a trolley service running between Tarpon Springs on down to Clearwater. The Pinellas Trail is one block from our rental and is great for biking or roller blading. Bikes can be rented nearby.
