Good place to stay to feel like a Japanese local. Nice and quiet residential area. Cosy space good for 4 person or 2 couples. Good starting point to explore the shrines like Kiyomizu-Dera, Yasaka Shrine and upwards. Good amenities from the host. Host is very responsive.

We had such an amazing stay at Tsumugi's place that we extended our stay for another night! There are nearby vending machines, konbini, and also near to the bus station. Looked just like the photos. It has basic kitchen amenities: microwave, refrigerator, even has 2 water bottles inside, kettle, kitchenware. Basic toiletries were provided. I particularly love the bath tub! You can even open the window to let the breeze in and have that open tub feel experience. Very spacious bedrooms! One has a tatami floor with futons, convenient to sleep with my 1-year old on. AC has heater function. TV comes with Netflix, Youtube options. Gave recos about places to visit and how to get there. Staff can speak good English. Really easy checkin and checkout process. Very responsive as well to inquiries. The only thing I don't like was it was a bit dusty and the door is very narrow. Quite a hassle to bring in big luggage and stroller. Stairs were also a bit steep so it's quite hard to bring stuff up.

넓고 쾌적하고 위치적인 부분도 너무 좋았어요 집에 머물러 있던 시간이 적어서 많은 부분을 사용하진 않았지만 다시 교토 가면 한 번 더 오고 싶은 숙소였어용 ㅠ

Great place to stay! Its a bit on the cramped side as far as the living/bathroom area goes (2 people comfortably), but the bedroom space is enough for 4! Super close to a Lawson's and a about 10-15 minute walk to a couple of train stations for getting around. The walls separating this and the other Tsumugi location next door are quite thin, so you'll definitely want to keep it down particularly in the bedroom area though. Also, the doorway doesn't open very wide at all, so getting bulky luggage will be a challenge haha. Other than that, would definitely recommend staying here for easy access to all that Kyoto has to offer! Clean and stocked with all the essentials aside from an easy way to dry your clothes!
