Loved staying at Ryan & Vanessa’s place! Stunning views of the mountains, which made for incredible sunrises and sunsets. We felt right at home and had everything we might need, including extra blankets and pillows. Everything was very clean and the place was well-stocked. The kitchen had wonderful appliances (I’ve never heard a microwave so quiet!). The gas fireplaces in the living room and bedroom were very easy to use (just opening the glass doors + a flip of a switch) and made for cozy evenings. The drive up the mountain is a bit winding and steep, but nothing our car couldn’t handle and the roads are maintained very well. While the grocery store is only 15 minutes away, the location feels so peaceful and secluded. We took a beautiful hike up the mountain and at one point were right on the ridge where we could see 360 degrees all around us. Would highly recommend that hike, but note that it’s a bit strenuous. We hope we have the opportunity to stay here again soon!

This cabin is cozy and in a beautiful setting. Very clear instructions and easy to enter, the interior was squeaky clean and inviting. Two fireplaces which were perfect for warming the whole place. Ryan and Vanessa were super responsive and great to work with.

This is the second time we have stayed here, the view from the back deck is gorgeous any time of the year! Perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee. The place is clean and cozy. Kitchen has everything we needed to cook in. Comfy bed and lovely gas fireplaces! Burnsville is a cute little town without all the noise and traffic of Asheville. We use this place as our base to explore hiking in the area, check out local art/craft studios, etc. Recommend Homeplace for good drafts and local music. We will be returning again!

We LOVED our stay! It was the perfect mountain getaway for our 10-year anniversary. The interior and beautiful views were exactly as described, everything was clean, and there were really nice hospitable touches throughout the space. Something to note: this is not a private getaway as the pictures indicate. We were not displeased at all, but the space is attached to another unit, in the midst of a country club. Our neighbors were very friendly and it was still very quiet, but based on the listing we didn’t realize this beforehand. Also, keep in mind it’s up a mountain, so bring a vehicle that can handle that regularly. It’s perfectly located between Asheville and some local hiking! Highly recommend the No Taste Like Home foraging tour and the Garden Deli in downtown Burnsville. Thank you Ryan and Vanessa for the great stay!
