Grand, private, 1700 sqft ground floor available in a recently fully renovated Victorian home with convenient access to the beauty of the Shenandoah and Front Royal Main St. Owners have meticulously designed and furnished this home to respect the historic architecture while providing modern comfort and luxury. An ideal vacation spot in the mountains. Come for a visit and experience all the Shenandoah has to offer. This is an outdoor lover's paradise and yet has the comforts of town. You'll access the home from the back door alongside private covered off-street parking. The main floor includes a mud room with washer/dryer, a fully equipped kitchen with new high-end appliances, a cheerful dining room with an 8' farm table, a 2-couch sitting room for relaxing after your adventures, a light-filled bedroom with a new king size bed, and a glamorous Victorian bathroom with tub and shower. Original, refinished hard wood floors throughout. Feel like you've travelled back in time but brought modern comfort with you. The grounds include numerous flowers and trees and a front porch for you to enjoy.

Bridget was very friendly and accommodating during booking. The place was spacious, clean, and walking distance from several restaurants. It was also a short drive away from Shenandoah National Park and other great hikes. Lovely airbnb and super comfortable bed. Definitely would recommend for anyone who is in the area!
This vintage home is awesomely remodeled with preserved historical character. The king bed is comfortably firm (no sagging) with very nice linens and fluffy pillows. Living room has 2 sofas, both sit rather firmly (no sagging) & comfortable with the TV on the mantle. Large dining room. Kitchen is beautiful with nice appliances & adequate dishes, pans, utensils for meal prep. Several items of seasoning, tea, condiments, etc. on hand. Regular coffee pot, not Keurig. Note: if you are short & will use the cabinets & microwave a lot, they are up higher than newer residences. Nice washer/dryer available, Easy 2-step access from carport to 1-step entry & 1 step into kitchen. Nice front porch to sit. There is some traffic on the streets. Bathroom is great with very nice tub/shower, shower head, linens. Heat/cool works very well. Nice windows for natural light. Good window coverings for blocking morning sun. Living Rm and Dining seating for 6-7. All good for a very enjoyable stay!

While the house is in a quiet neighborhood, Front Royal's Main street is only a six-minute walk. There, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time, as the quaint streets are lined with charming shops, cafes and restaurants. You can even find yoga studios, a movie theatre, and salons. In the opposite direction, Randolph Macon Academy is also a short walk from the house.
Venture out further and you’ll find spectacular Skyline drive entrance 1 mile down the road and several boat launches into the Shenandoah river within a few minutes drive. Incredible amount of hikes are available within a 20-min drive radius. Hikes range from easy to challenging with options for waterfalls, swimming pools, spectacular views, solitude, spring flowers, or autumn colors. Hosts can offer guidance on local hikes if you desire. End your day with a visit to one of the many local wineries or breweries. Alternatively spend the day picking apples, visiting the Skyline caverns, taking a canoe trip down the river, and visiting National Parks all a short drive away. This is a hidden gem not far off Interstate 66 and 81.
Access to town only by car. Local airport nearby for small planes. Local trolley can take you around town.
