We had a tough start...the key was not left for us (someone took it with them they think), the Direct Tv didn't work (it was knocked out because of a storm), the tv was extremely blurry and the amenities that were stated that were available were not. No canoes and the paddle boats were not working. They were extremely nice, had the locks changed, had the Direct TV fixed, and gave a refund for the inconvenience and let us leave a day early. Beautiful property and cleaner than most hotels I've stayed out. They were kind, prompt and courteous. They definitely could upgrade the Direct TV box for a clearer picture and sound.
Absolutely breathtaking views of the river! Wonderful accommodations, accurate just as the pictures describe. Very private and quite! Loved all of the wildlife and being surrounded by nature and the sounds of the rain and river!
It's a very cool place. The attention to detail in the design of this place was just spectacular. Whoever designed this place was really thinking about the needs of people like me breezing in and out. I highly recommend it. Here's some information you might need that's not in the listing: 1. It's in the boonies. You are not very close to Broken Bow. And more importantly, the road in and out is slightly challenging. I brought my low-profile sports car and if I could do it again, I would've taken the business sedan. It was no big deal, we just had to go really slow. The sedan would've dealt with it much better. 2. It is out in the boonies, but you are not isolated. There are four cabins fairly close together and you actually share a common area with one of them. It's a very cool wooden deck that looks out over the river that seems to be about 100 feet beyond the cabin. 3. As you are quite a ways from civilization, I highly recommend you bring everything, and I mean everything, you need for the weekend, or week or whatever. The cabin has basic necessities like pots and pans and plates, etc. But you need to bring your own touches like spices, foil, olive oil, maybe your favourite steak knife, that sort of thing. I would not assume there's anything in the cabin that is consumable. So if you're going to need salt and pepper, bring it. We did and it worked out great. 4. The bed is super comfortable. You should be very happy with that. 5. There is a gazebo with an outdoor dining room table, a grill, and some string lights and it's perfect. Frankly, I spent most of my time on the chaise lounge chair there. It was great. 6. The sounds at this place are great. If you're from the city like me, these are noises you just don't get to hear very much. I had a great time just sitting and listening to everything. 7. There's a large grassy open area behind the cabin that I think would be awesome for dark night viewing. Unfortunately, we had clouds and were not able to see much. But I bet this place is spectacular at night. 8. Stupidly, we forgot to bring ice. But, the cabin has an ice maker in the freezer. So the day was saved. Thank you for that. 9. There is lots of outdoor furniture. This includes an umbrella that folds out at the end of the cabin. It's really well stocked in this regard. We brought camping chairs, but did not need them. There were more places to sit than we could get to. 10. I have an electric vehicle and was able to plug into the 110 from the gazebo that w was about thirty feet from the driveway.
Gorgeous setting right on the river. We loved the wrap around deck, access to fire pits & wood. A little further from town that I had anticipated but that makes it relaxing & quiet. There are horseshoes, paddle boats, volleyball, and a kids jungle gym. Bed was comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great weekend!
This cabin is located on 170+ acres and a mile of river frontage with 5 other cabins.
