We had a wonderful family vacation at the lake house. The yard felt private & the lake itself was extremely peaceful for fishing, canoeing & swimming. The house had everything that we needed & the host was extremely helpful/responsive to any questions we had. The location was also close to surrounding towns in the Berkshire area too which each offered plenty of places for food, shopping and entertainment. Perfect location for a nice, relaxing family trip.

My husband and I just completed a week’s stay at Bill’s place. We had a wonderful time. The house and lake are very secluded. There were times when it was just us at the dock and nobody else was around. The lake is great for swimming, even has a small sandy beach. The screened in porch was the best part of the house! We ate out there for almost every meal. I would highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway.

Our stay was outstanding, the host is excellent, and the house is in an ideal location for a quiet, lakeside getaway. The location is perfect for someone who wants both a remote country residence but also easy access to the culture and towns of the Berkshires (it is under 10 minutes from Jacob’s Pillow and about a half-hour to Tanglewood, as well as easy driving distance to all the restaurants, shops, and galleries in Lee, Lenox, Great Barrington, and Stockbridge). The owner has taken meticulous care of this house, and apparent recent improvements are high-quality. The queen-size bed in the main bedroom is comfortable, and there is more than adequate dresser and closet space for visitors (unlike many other Airbnb’s where we’re surprised to find a lack of drawers). We did not use the 2nd bedroom, so we can't comment on it. The bathroom is in great shape, and hot water & water pressure are more than adequate. The kitchen is completely equipped and everything is in working order. In addition to standard eat-in dishes and cutlery, the host also supplied plentiful paper goods for picnics. The kitchen has a large table to seat 6+, and just off the kitchen is a screened porch with a large table — where we ate most of our meals gazing at the lake. Access to (and beautiful views of) the lake is the highlight of this house. In addition to the upstairs porch, there is a ground-level patio covered by the porch with another large table, chairs, very new and large gas grill, swing, etc. A wooded backyard leads to the small, private lakefront with a private dock, a boat, kayak, and paddles/life vests. The neighborhood is very quiet and only a small number of homes have access to this small, isolated lake. We saw just one person on the water in our weeklong stay. We hope to return to this PERFECT Airbnb!

Bill’s place was just perfect for a mini-vacation with my kids. The house is impeccably maintained and very clean and it was beyond wonderful to have the lake right in our backyard! We stayed during a heat advisory and swam every day, when we weren’t taking in concerts at Tanglewood, which is a scenic 25-or-so minute drive away. The screened-in deck was especially nice; we ate all our meals there. A gem of a place with lovely hosts—we can’t wait to stay again! :)
