West Bexington · 牧羊人小屋 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · The Seaside Shepherd’s Hut
Fall asleep to the sound of waves on shingle in this stunning, hand-crafted oak shepherd’s hut. In winter the Hut is cosy with double glazing, a wood burner plus radiator. In summer relax on the deck to enjoy glorious views of Lyme Bay in an AONB on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Nestling in the garden, Chesil Beach and the South West Coast Path are 30 seconds away down a private path. Watch magnificent sunsets over the bay and enjoy stargazing in our dark skies. The hut was built in September 2017 by Blackdown Shepherd Huts of Ilminster, Somerset. The interior and exterior wood cladding is French oak with sheep’s wool insulation. Inside, the main area contains a dining table and bench seats, woodburner and kitchenette with sink, combination oven and fridge. There is a cupboard with hanging rail for clothes and a shower room and WC. The dining table folds down and a full size double bed pulls out. There is a USB socket by the bed, electric lighting, a gas boiler for hot water and alternative heating by oil-filled radiator. I supply a (mostly homemade) breakfast of English muffins with jam and honey (from my bees), cereals, fruit, yogurt and orange juice. Tea, coffee and milk are also supplied. Gluten free and vegan diets catered for - please let me know. Outside there is a decking area with a dining table and chairs plus sun loungers for those warm days and a gas BBQ. Guests have sole use of the back garden and the large pergola with seating. Parking is on a paved drive with a path to the hut. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there are 2 steps to the decking and 4 more up to the hut itself.
Honestly the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. The location is stunning and Michele takes every care to ensure a comfortable and interesting stay, recommending walks, places to eat and activities during our stay. Excellent value for money, and we’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks Michele
Vielen Dank!
Beautiful shepherds hut, in beautiful surroundings. Cosy, well equipped and comfortable inside. Michelle provided all information before arrival as well as local offers available at local places to eat and drink. The bread, cereal, milk and orange juice were added little touches as was two small bottles of prosecco which we used to toast our first night. Michelle's shepherds hut is a hidden gem, for a quiet, relaxing break, loved it😍
The hut adjoins a field and is located behind the the last in the row of chalets that front onto Chesil Beach - an 18 mile long shingle beach running from West Bay to Portland that is part of the 95-mile Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has clear views of Lyme Bay from Portland to Golden Cap and beyond to Start Point on a clear day. Behind are fields and the hills of the South Dorset Ridgeway. There are plenty of lovely walks in the area and places to visit.
Details about facilities in the local area, places to shop, eat and visit are given in the online visitor guide book which I will send you about a week before your arrival.

自我介绍
I’m a Londoner but my grandmother bought our beach house here in West Bexington in 1934. I’ve been coming here all my life and chose to move here permanently in 2007. I keep bees, go walking and dancing, teach tai chi and enjoy living by the sea. As an AirBnB host I’m delighted to share this beautiful spot with others who will appreciate it.
