We offer 4 guest rooms with modern amenities in an historic home, including either king or queen beds, private baths, free wifi, and a full breakfast. Carthage is a beautiful small town featuring Route 66, Civil War history, and many Victorian homes. This listing is for the Nathaniel Hawthorne room. It has a queen bed and private bath with shower and a two person Jacuzzi tub. Each of our rooms has been designed with guest comfort in mind, preserving the historic elements while providing modern amenities--king or queen beds, free wifi, deluxe sheets, flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms with showers.

Our Queen Anne Victorian home was built in 1893 in beautiful Carthage, Missouri. Carthaginians pride themselves on preserving their heritage, and there is a vast array of different historic architectural gems surrounding us. Our landmark courthouse on the Carthage square is just a safe, one mile walk away, surrounded by terrific restaurants, galleries, coffee and gift shops. Retro Route 66 Drive-In Movie Theater is open during the summers for an affordable, unique night out.

On site parking is free, our town is walkable for most, and cabs are available. As of this writing, we don't have Uber or Lyft, but we can provide a number for local favorite, McCoy Cab.
