Home from home nestled in North Cornwall, 3 miles from Padstow and 5 miles from 7 beaches. Our barn conversion provides bright, clean, comfortable, well equipped, upside down living and a sunny patio. Perfect at any time of year and for all groups; families, couples, friends. Ideal for; romantic, culinary, golfing, walking, cycling, adventure, relaxation and horticultural holidays. Close to and readily accessible are beaches, vineyard, coast path, restaurants and Cornwall's many attractions. Our barn conversion is a much loved holiday home that we visit regularly. We have recently refurbished the property (2020 & 2023). It lends itself well to families, couples and friends and is a delight at any time of the year. The barn is part of a set of conversions for both residential and holiday home use. Entry is at mid level with parking just outside the door for one car, ample further parking being available in the dedicated car parking spaces 50 yds away. Upstairs is a bright and airy open plan living space with well equipped kitchen, large dining table and lounge area with smart TV, audio equipment and comfortable sofa. Downstairs there is a main bathroom with a small bath and over bath shower, twin bed room, king size double room with en-suite shower and toilet. Outside there is a communal courtyard and personal patio, with table, chairs. Only 4 properties open onto this area so it is a peaceful suntrap. Stair gate, travel cot and high chair are all available. The barn is in a quiet rural setting (there are only 11 residential and holiday properties down the lane) yet only a 5 minute drive from the shops and a 10 minute drive from many beaches. A car is necessary.

The ancient outsides and the modern insides are a lovely contrast. So many openable windows made the house bright and fresh. Kitchen was better stocked than my own at home, with new appliances and dishes, and plenty of lighting. Beds were very comfy with sparkling linens, and bedrooms were roomy. Just before we found the place, we did have a moment of wondering where we were, as we sat stopped in what turned out to be the main car park for the complex. Decided to soldier on and found our unit just around the corner. It was well worth the momentary confusion though, and we'd stay again.
Terrific place that far exceeded our expectations, we thought was excellent value. The place was lovely and had a great holiday feel. Highly recommend.

This was our 3rd visit to Oak Barn and it was as peaceful, comfortable and relaxing as in previous visits…..the barn almost seems to hug us! Our trip coincided with the Padstow Christmas Festival so we spent time there as well as in the town. As it was also my husband’s birthday, we celebrated by going to the Old Mill House in Little Petherick for dinner. It was great to see the tree in the courtyard lit up as it gave a Christmassy vibe outside. Looking forward to returning next year!

The property is in a quiet semi rural location, yet within easy reach of all that the local area - Padstow and 7 beaches has to offer and only 1 hour maximum from all of Cornwalls wonderful sights. Nearest shops are Tesco in Padstow and a well stocked Spar and bakery in St Merryn, both a 5 minute drive away. There is no passing traffic since the properties are set away from the road. The vineyard which offers wine tasting, tours and lunch is a 3 minute walk away. Camel Creek adventure park is a 5 minute drive away. There are many renowned restaurants and named chefs in the area, additionally there are many smaller independent restaurants and cafes. Most of Cornwall's many attractions are less than an hours drive away, whilst if you do not wish to drive so far there are 7 beaches and the beautiful North Cornwall coast path within a 10 minute drive. The shops, restaurants and attractions of Padstow - including the ferry to Rock are just a 5-10 minute drive away.

Family time is very important to us. We also love to cook and enjoy good food. When travelling we love to find hidden gems away from the crowds and enjoy using Airbnb for this.
