Forge cottage is a beautiful old cottage in a lovely quiet hamlet. It has a secure garden and parking just a few metres away from the property so it is not directly attached but this isn’t a problem (unless you have a lot of bags!) There is no wifi but signal was ok most of the time but this would definitely make a more comfortable stay! The house was a little damp to start (comes with the age!) but the woodburner is lovely (you need your own logs and lighter etc) and the central heating worked well. A few little touches like some hand wash and more washing up liquid would have been useful as we ended up buying our own. Teabags, coffee and milk in the fridge was nice after a long drive. Overall a pleasant stay in a beautiful part of Cornwall!

The description of the cottage ammenities were good. We felt that a lack of detail to the general cleanliness in the kitchen. Extractor filters were greasy and fridge not 100%. Kitchen cupboards not cleean or organised. The rest of the cottage was beautifully presented with comfy beds and living areas. I would recommend leaving all instructions in the hospitality file, ie hand written messages stuck to walls dont give the impression of an eye to detail.

Good location, a cute cottage and the garden was fully dog proofed as indicated. parking provided, its spacious for 2. Cottage could do with redecoration, the kitchen cupboards were broken and the utensils need updating. The phone signal was poor so perhaps it would be good to provide WiFi, however the TV worked fine. The large bed had springs poking up and the twin beds mattresses were poor quality, would not be suitable for adults. The photos show the space well but don't show that the place is a little tired.

We all loved the cottage and it’s location. Had some lovely days out together at the lovely bays nearby and Prideux Place in Padstow and Lanhydrock I’m Bodmin definitely recommended. A beautiful location and great place to stay. Thanks!
