Mama as beach bungalows was everything I hoped for. A little ways away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa but with the quad rental Mary set us up with getting around was easy and so fun. The beach nearby was beautiful and mostly empty. Awesome tide pools with interesting crabs and fish, a resident gecko, iguanas, howler monkeys, squirrels and birds all playing in the trees around the bungalow. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds, and the most responsive host I’ve had. Mary was helpful from the moment we booked until even after we left. I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone and hope to visit again soon. Perfect hub for getting around Santa Teresa, Cabuya and montezuma. Pura vida!

We really enjoyed our time at our Makanas bungalow! Clean, comfortable, surrounded by beautiful flora and birds as well as howler monkeys. Close proximity to great restaurants. Would stay again.

Bungalow 4 is stand alone, perfect for us there, great bathroom and shower, a stone’s throw from the beach. Great breakfast included, just 5 minutes driving to town. From the beach access you can walk to Rocamar on the beach, great lunch place on the water ! Tyler rules !

Great place with access to the beach. Away from the busy part of Santa Teresa means the beach is beautiful and quiet, surrounded by wildlife and nature! We saw monkeys, iguanas and turtles all within a stones throw from the bungalow. Breakfast is good, alternative milks would be a nice addition for the coffee/tea in the mornings. Inside the bungalow is perfect; spotless, modern with a great bathroom and really comfortable beds!
