I am first and foremost a nature lover and I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful and unspoiled wilderness. Conservation is a priority at Diepklowe Private Nature Reserve which is home to the endangered indigenous vegetation, Renosterveld. In light of this, the farm is proudly affiliated with various conservation efforts, such as Cape Nature, the Groenlandberg Conservancy, Conservation at Work, Table Mountain Fund and others. Alongside these efforts, Diepklowe Private Nature Reserve have engaged in developing wonderful walking trails, from hikes to easier nature walks. There are rare and endangered plant species endemic to the farm, most notably an extraordinary birdlife crowned by a pair of Verreaux eagles. Guests can enjoy the abundant natural beauty, whether its hiking, birding, biking or swimming in the dam. If you are looking for a home away from home, where you will most likely catch a glimpse of the Verreaux Eagles nesting dramatically on the cliff face, enjoy the comfortable indoor and outdoor living these houses provide.
