What an INCREDIBLE place with incredible staff. We booked the Faraway Estate for our bridesmaids and groomsmen house + a day after event post our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. Before coming Helmare had calls with us to help us set everything up and even helped us source food and drinks for our event. Upon arrival we were met by Sonja the lovely owner who is born to do hospitality! She made us feel so so welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our stay. She helped our guests source food , taxis and was so lovely to chat to. Helmare even took my dress to be professionally steamed one day. We opted to get Thelma who is the recommended chef to come and cook for the group and we had beautiful quality good value food. The Faraway estate itself is pristine, spacious, and in a gorgeous setting. Our guests commented about how good value for money it was and how over and above they went. We are so pleased we chose it and couldn’t recommend it more!

Helmare was a fantastic host, (very) flexible check in, incredible and stunning venue, and so helpful with organising transport for our trip. The Estate is wonderful with everything you’d possibly need and Helmare, along with Sonja, were superb hosts. Thanks so much Helmare!

An annual family vacation of 15 people just rose to new heights hosted in Faraway Estate. Sonia & Helmare were great & very accommodating. The estate is beautiful and well maintained, rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated; a wide selection of lounges and places to relax and take in the majestic views. Kitchen is huge and well equipped for all your needs. Staff on hand daily to assist with washing up was a real plus. Freshly pressed apple juice daily from the estate orchard.. olive oil produced on the estate as well as jams and chutneys. Not to mention the billiards room, tennis courts and crocket on the gardens well manicured lawns & huge pool. There is so much to do here but also a fantastic place to relax. We took advantage of the onsite spa and our therapist Shermilla was an absolute star doing 8 treatments over 2 days! The house is GRAND on a next level and so gorgeous we did not want to leave! Highly recommend and will hopefully be back!
