The house is ideal for large groups. The surroundings are beautiful and the indoor pool a bonus. The property managers, Anina and Liz, were great. Friendly, responsive and proactive in providing good information. However, it was disappointing to be told we weren’t allowed to use the fire place in the living room despite it being listed as a feature on the Airbnb listing. It’s a large, old house, beautiful to look at, but the central heating was not sufficient to get the temperature up to an ideal level - the radiators were tepid and the heating did not warm the top floor. As a result we spent most of the time in the kitchen as a group, as the Aga ensured that room was warm. The house was well equipped, but some of the furniture is tired - particularly the white armchairs that are quite stained. Some interior areas of the house need TLC; there was damp mould visible on the walls in two bathrooms & other rooms throughout the house. Great location as a base for exploring the Peaks.

Our large family group had a wonderful time, playing outside in the large garden and inside in the games room and swimming pool which was a good size. There was lots of space inside, with options of where to eat and lots of space for us all (11) to sit in one place. The area is lovely with lots of walking/running routes, pretty villages and good pubs and restaurants. We would love to come back again.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

We have just returned from 5 wonderful days at the Manor House. The house was absolutely ideal - the shared pool was great, everything was spotless, and Marie was excellent with communication (and accommodating our bedroom “re-jig”). We can’t wait to come again!

We had a great time at the farmhouse. The house is a gorgeous old house very well maintained. All the rooms are big and kept very clean. The surrounding area is beautiful and the views from the house stunning. Indoor swimming pool was bigger than expected and kids happy during many rainy afternoons. Only downside Internet wifi connection was broken. Fortunately we had a tech guy in our group who fixed it but it was still very slow as it is linked to phone line and not fibre. Great place and would definitely recommend for large groups.
