Beautiful cabin in a secluded location, yet close to numerous attractions. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the back patio. Will definitely be back in the future.
This was an incredible getaway. It was peaceful, amazing views, close to great places to fish, and so serene and quiet. Jan had so many amenities and it seemed like she thought of everything! It really felt like home away from home!

No host has ever cared more about making their place usable, welcoming, thorough, and cared for! So impressed by how well labeled and stocked the kitchen was. Clean and welcoming. Jan is great and Spirit Mound is a delightful getaway!
Jan’s place was perfect for us. All amenities needed was provided. I loved that it was tucked away in the woods and every morning I enjoyed birds chirping outside the bedroom windows. Jan was also very accommodating as I miscalculated our travel time and we ended up coming in to town a day early. Luckily her place was available to add another nights stay and Jan made sure the place was ready for us.

Dan and Jan Whetstone live in Toddville, Iowa just north of the City of Cedar Rapids. Both being from the Midwest, we are soon-to-be retired professionals who have worked hard and enjoy life. We have a combined family of seven children and six (soon to be seven!) grandchildren. We love to cook, garden, and travel - and our German Shepherd Sarah and cat Bessie.
