FABULOUS stay!! There were 8 of us and we had the best time! Plenty of space yet still very cozy. Many memories were made hanging out on the swing bed as well as the upper deck with the fire pit. The house is updated and feels warm. Tucked back in a gated community, surrounded by trees and a phenomenal yard, we felt a great sense of privacy and peace. The kitchen is highly functional unlike other stays- we enjoyed cooking together most nights. There's also an outdoor grill for use! We were pleased with the many hiking options nearby and two great towns to explore- downtown Highlands and Cashier (definitely recommend the Ingles for groceries as Lindsay suggests!). Lindsay was a stellar hostess- prompt and friendly responses, great recommendations (we rented a dog friendly boat from Signal Ridge Marina and had the BEST time!!). She was very accommodating about the fact that not all of us were coupled and thereby arriving in separate vehicles. We all agree Lindsay's place has been our favorite reunion spot to date! Don't miss out on this one :):):)

The Truffle Hill home was lovely and served our group of 4 adult couples who are frequent travelers very well, and would also be great for a group with children, as there are two completely separate living areas. The home is spacious, comfortable and clean, kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable (and we are picky), and the home is ideally located in a gated community - very convenient to Highlands, but far enough out and homes are well spaced so you feel like you are in the forest and have privacy. We had a maintenance emergency on our first night, but Lindsay, a wonderful host, responded and took care of the issue immediately. Otherwise, everything went very smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our group all agreed that we would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Lindsay, for helping to make our vacation a great success!

Lindsay’s home is very beautiful, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen has all the tools you’d want for cooking and we did a lot of cooking and baking. The home layout allowed our extended family to enjoy togetherness and also privacy, as needed. There is a basement bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchenette. Our teen could watch her own movies downstairs as she liked. We very much enjoyed the wood-burning fireplaces and the outdoor gas fireplace on the back porch. The master on the first floor has a jetted tub that we enjoyed very much too. The forest views out the abundant windows are beautiful. We enjoyed the time we spent in the home, very much. We appreciated being able to have our little dog with us on vacation. It appears that Lindsay has a dog, too, and that works very well for us. The house is located in a gated subdivision and the house is about 2.5 miles outside of the center of Highland. I’d had an idea that we could walk to Highlands but the mountainous hills and lack of sidewalks makes that very difficult and likely dangerous. We did walk around the neighborhood, finding the golf cart paths and that was super fun and beautiful. At night, we walked the dog under a gorgeous starry sky. It is a short and easy drive that we did every day to enjoy Highland’s restaurants, shopping, yoga, ice-skating and general charm. We also hiked Whiteside mountain, visited multiple waterfalls, went Ziplining at Highland Aerial Park. We had so much fun for a week with extended family. I highly recommend Lindsay’s place and Highlands, NC for a week getaway.

Lindsay's house has so many great qualities! The house is on three levels with a king size bed and bath on each level as well as other beds on the top and bottom floors. It's located only five minutes from downtown Highlands with beautiful drive up appeal of the Highlands Falls Golf Course. The kitchen is the most fully stocked of any we have rented on Airbnb. If you like to cook, you will be totally set. Lindsay was easy to communicate with and check-in was seamless. We highly recommend Lindsay's house!
