As a family group coming to Mt Tomah for a wedding at the Botanical Gardens, we found the Lodge and the Cottage to be perfect for their proximity to the venue, seclusion, tranquility and gorgeous gardens for memorable photographs. All furniture, kitchen, and bathrooms were perfectly functional and had that magazine look. Comfortable and spacious common areas made for great togetherness and fun. Highly recommended.

Entering this cottage automatically puts you in a relaxed state. It is picturesque. The place had everything we could need and an abundant amount of generous treats. The only down side was the almost complete lack of reception/internet. We did not need this as we were on holiday, but even so ,found it frustrating at times. Otherwise, it was a perfect retreat.

This property is beautiful. Located on a wonderfully positioned multi acre estate with stunning natural landscaping, ornamental trees, giant ferns and woodland forest. The bird life is impressive and you’ll never see so many Rosella’s. When outside the cottage not a minute goes by without sighting or hearing one. Sitting on the balcony each morning listening to the Whip birds, Kookaburra’s or introducing ourselves to friendly Rosellas and pigeons was serene. Yes there is a bit of road noise that seems to travel up the mountain from the road below, but it’s not a deal breaker and you can’t hear it when inside with the windows closed. Inside the cottage it’s spick and span. Not brand new but very well maintained and very clean. All the amenities you need , good large functional bathroom/laundry. Bedding is very comfortable and the large kitchen amply equiped and functional. Extra breakfast provisions and a nice apple pie wi be waiting for you !

Our second time staying at the cabin, the property is amazing, secluded and cosey. John and Ruth are amazing hosts and will be back for a third time
