在查尔斯顿的几天，我真正体验了地道的美国式生活。 面朝大海春暖花开的大房子，延伸到远方的木栈道，两边长满了水草，摩托艇和独木舟停在私家码头。 退潮时，我们坐在二楼的阳台，边喝咖啡边观看成群的白鹭，鹈鹕在沼泽地捕食，成群的螃蟹爬来爬去；涨潮时，我们开着摩托艇去大西洋冲浪，划着独木舟在河道间穿梭，海豚🐬时不时出现在身边，跳出水面引起一片狂欢。 清晨，我们骑着自行车穿梭于大街小路，感受小镇的生活气息；傍晚，我们会划船到最繁华的街区，把船泊在码头，走上岸去，到热闹的酒吧喝上两杯，再到海鲜市场称几斤刚刚打捞出来的鱼虾蟹，趁着夕阳西下，划着独木舟晃荡着回家。 In Charleston for a few days, I really experienced the authentic American life. Big houses with spring blossoms face the sea and stretch to distant wooden walkways, flanked by seaweed, motorboats and canoes perched on private piers. At low tide, we sat on the second-floor balcony, drinking coffee and watching the flocks of egrets, pelicans feeding on the marshes, and crabs crawling in flocks. At high tide, we drove motorboats to the Atlantic to surf, paddled canoes through the channels, and porpoises emerged from time to time to throw themselves out of the water. Early in the morning, we cycled through the streets and roads, feeling the life of the town. In the evening, we will go boating to the most prosperous neighborhood, park the boat in the dock, walk ashore, drink two cups in the lively bar, and weigh out a few kilograms of fish, shrimp and crabs in the seafood market, and paddle the canoe to wander home in the sunset.

我非常开心能和susan有这样一次神奇的相遇。她带我感受了非常美国式带生活。让我对美国人的生活有了更深刻的体会。同时她的朋友们也是那么的可爱和友好。在她家的日子里我更像是拜访久别重逢的老友。查尔斯顿永远是我最爱的地方！

Extremely charming setting and room. Wonderful selection of books and a cozy reading book. Spacious and very clean. Nice views of the salt marsh which begins at the end of the lawn. Wonderful porch to share with Susan, but the best part is Susan herself; completely welcoming and generous and sincere. You will love it here. What an airbnb experience is meant to be.

We absolutely loved our stay at Susan’s! Her home is so cozy but spacious and had everything we needed. The views from the back deck are incredible and the location was perfect to get to local restaurants and downtown Charleston. Susan was so kind and gave us a quick tour of the place as we checked in even though it was pretty late and dark already. She even took us out for a short boat ride on our last day. Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in Charleston.

Susan’s place is unbelievable: the beautiful blue Queen Anne beach house overlooking the marshes, with a long wooden deck that crosses the tall grass singing with frogs, birds and popping rivulets and mud, smelling of salt water and ancient trees, until it suddenly stop in front od the idyllic Shem Creek, with benches to read, sunbath and watch the kayaker go by. The guest house is lovely: large, comfortable, with lustrous wooden floors, couches to sink in, an ample bedroom with walk-in closet, great bathroom and kitchenette. And Susan is a delightful host: as beautiful as her place, generous in sharing her house, terrace and friends, welcoming and always ready to help. A place to return to (asap). Thank you Susan!
