Triantafyllia and Andreas were excellent hosts. We had very good communication with them regarding the location, facilities in the house and surrounding area. The house was clean and well equipped with everything you need for holidays. The WiFi coverage was brilliant. The location of the house is in a small village with very beautiful scenery and fantastic sea only a few minutes walk. Very close to the house there is a very good restaurant with some exceptional traditional dishes . There is a bar few steps down from the restaurant and you can reach the beach from the bar as well. There is a very small minimarket in the village and a bigger one in the next village (5-10min) drive. There are no words to thank Andreas and Triantafyllia for their hospitality, there are very few hosts that will offer their own house to accommodate the severe emergency that Evia faced. We are thankful that village was not affected at all and we are looking forward to visit the place again soon.

Το σπίτι βρίσκεται σε μία πολύ όμορφη και πευκόφυτη περιοχή. Η πανέμορφη παραλία της Δάφνης είναι κυριολεκτικά μια ανάσα, αφού είναι εύκολα προσβάσιμη και με τα πόδια, σε μερικά λεπτά. Πρόκειται για μία άνετη μεζονέτα, πλήρως εξοπλισμένη που μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει αρκετά άτομα, οικογένειες ή παρέες. Έχει πολύ ωραία θέα στη θάλασσα, αλλά και στο βουνό. Οι χώροι είναι κομψοί, φτιαγμένοι με γούστο και πεντακάθαροι. Στον κήπο του, ο οποίος μάλιστα διαθέτει μπάρμπεκιου και φούρνο, μπορείς πραγματικά να χαλαρώσεις και να απολαύσεις τις μυρωδιές και τους ήχους του δάσους που εκτείνεται ολόγυρα σου. Την παραλία της Δάφνης την έχουμε επισκεφθεί πολλές φορές στο παρελθόν, είναι πραγματικά καταπληκτική, όμως δεν είχαμε μείνει ποτέ στον οικισμό. Πιστεύω ότι βρήκαμε το κατάλληλο κατάλυμα. Μας υποδέχτηκαν οι καταπληκτικοί οικοδεσπότες του, που μας φέρθηκαν πραγματικά σαν να είμαστε οικογένειά τους. Τα παιδιά ξετρελάθηκαν με τη σοφίτα και τα παιχνίδια. Εμείς αισθανθήκαμε ότι είμαστε σε οικείο περιβάλλον, κάτι που μας το είχαν εμπνεύσει ήδη από την επικοινωνία μας πριν. Ο χώρος ήταν ακριβώς αυτό που θέλαμε, ήταν τέλειος. Περάσαμε υπέροχα και σίγουρα θα το επισκεφθούμε και στο μέλλον. Ευχαριστούμε πολύ, εις το επανιδείν...

The house is in the area of Dafni on Evvia (Euboea). It's on a slope looking west to the Euboean Gulf and you can watch beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Although not right on the beach, it is literally a 3-minute walk down to the coast. The coastline and the whole area are very green, full of pines, plane and fig trees, as well as olive trees. There are natural springs around and in some places their waters run down to the sea. The coast is pebbles, with some small patches of coarse black and white sand (quartz and black rock), but the water is very clear, and the swimming is very enjoyable. Sunsets were beautiful and different every day. There is a simple bar/taverna on the coast straight down from the house, with a small beach in front of it. You can walk along the rocky coast both to the left and right of the beach and swim anywhere, if you don't mind entering the sea over stones. A 7-minute walk along the road from the house or 10-15 min walk along the coast (to the N/NW of the house) is a nice fish and meat taverna overlooking another great beach. Dafni is a summer residential area with a few villas and nice houses. It's the end point of a road and can be reached from the Athens airport in about 1 hour and 45 mins. There is a small hotel (Pantheon) nearby, but otherwise this is not a touristy place. It is quiet, but not isolated (at least not in the summer). Nerotrivi and Politika are the two villages on the way to Dafni, both have mini-markets and tavernas. The house is compact, arranged over two floors, with a full kitchen, large screen TVs, good wifi, and quiet air conditioners. The balcony has a table with two chairs, nice for breakfast or sunset drinks. It has a drying rack to hang swimsuits and beach towels. The house is surrounded by a wall and electrical gate, and there is room for parking inside. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The place is best for a couple, but can accommodate a family with kids as well. We would come back and we recommend the place to others!
