I had an amazing time at Jacks place! The surroundings were beautiful and the sounds were unbelievable! This was such a great stay! He even made breakfast as a treat! It was delicious!! I am so glad I stayed here! Definitely will be back!
I truly don’t think I could say enough good things about my stay in Jack’s home! I came out to Virginia to hike at Shenandoah National Park and enjoy the beautiful nature in the surrounding area—Jack’s home provided the perfect place to start the mornings so peacefully (with the river / stream he has going across his land, the sound of rushing water is always in the background and is so relaxing), not to mention he is so intentional about what you’d like for breakfast and exactly how you want your coffee / drink—so yummy. It also provided a perfect space to end the day—the hottub was magical and I saw multiple shooting stars with the sky so clear. The room was very spacious, clean and had everything you needed. You know Jack’s home was made with love and I felt it the whole time there, it was welcoming, warm and comforting. Jack is a gem of a person—he gave me so many wonderful recommendations and provided the best company. I will absolutely be back!
Wow. Staying at Jack’s place was the highlight of our trip! He is so kind, respectful and caring. He made us breakfast both mornings- which we are so grateful for! He was pleasant to talk with and I feel like I made a new friend. His place is beautiful. The surrounding stream was amazing to listen to. The hot tub felt great after a long day, too. The room was clean and had everything we needed. I will absolutely stay here again if we come back! Thank you Jack and I hope we can keep in touch!! ☺️

自我介绍
I am a father of 3 grown military children, and grandfather of three little boys... living my dream as a simple bed and breakfast owner, in a house I designed and built on a river in Bacon Hollow aside the Shenandoah National Park. Retired now after 42 years in the railroad industry I've gone from living my life second to second to day by day. My career took me all around the world meeting wonderful people in their workplaces. A big lesson I've learned along the way is that a person needs to escape once in a while from routine daily life and experience a bit of "psychological pampering". The design of Singing Springs reflects the effort to provide such an environment. I enjoy relaxing along the river while I design places for others, I write short stories for children, and I entertain my friends and neighbors. This setting reminds me to always design with nature, to always write stories with some type of happy ending, and to always make time to listen to people and share life's ups and downs. A good host walks the fine line between being interactive enough and being respective of privacy for their guests. I strive to do both but I depend on good communication skills. To improve myself and my hosting skills I hope my guests tell me what they like and where I can make changes. I want to be the favorite host with the best place on earth.
