Julie and Seth have a beautiful home. We were visiting the Charlottesville area and Shenandoah national forest. The home is situated between the two. We try to travel with our dogs. This home had so many thoughtful amenities (both for humans and dogs). The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. The house was very quiet and secluded. All the instructions were clear and we didn’t need for anything from our host during our stay.

We wish we could have stayed here longer than just a weekend! Such a beautiful location, the dogs especially loved the property and being able to run around and explore. Extremely clean and homey. The beds were super comfy!

It was a beautiful and peaceful location. Loved to sit outside in the mornings with coffee, listen to the creek, and watch the birds. The house was very comfortable, and had everything that we needed. Beds and linens made for a great nights sleep. Built a fire in the living room a few nights, which was a nice change for us Floridians. It is very remote- dirt road and all. It was about a half hour to a Walmart that had groceries. Keep in mind that if something is 20 miles away, it is all country roads, so double the time. We drove into Charlottesville, which was lovely- be sure to go to the pedestrian mall for yummy food and shopping. Go to Crush Wines for some fabulous wines. We werent crazy about the Virginia wines, but the Veritas Winery was very beautiful- you could spend the whole afternoon out there. All in all, we would definitely stay there again. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

It's always a pleasure to stay at Hightop Hideaway. It's a peaceful, serene experience for our whole family, and we're always so happy at how clean the house is despite being so remote. It's also just perfectly set up for a family with small kids and dogs.

Honestly, this was one of my favorite Airbnb's I've ever stayed at! Everything you could think of that you might need was there. It was so comfortable and well-stocked, Julie was SO responsive, and we had just a phenomenal time. The coffee machine was great, and the milk frother was my favorite! The rooms are comfortable and private, so it was great with a group. Our dog had an amazing time, and we appreciated the touches like a dog bed and bowls. The cabin is quiet and deep in the woods, and yet super well-located. We went to three different wineries within only a 20 minute drive and they were all so gorgeous. It's minutes from Shenandoah Park too, with endless hikes and beautiful viewpoints. The recommendation book was lovely! We loved every restaurant, winery, and brewery we tried from it! Highly recommend! My only note: the wifi isn't quite fast enough to work remotely. It functions baseline, but too slow for video calls!
