If I could give 10 stars I would. I am already planning my next visit! Chris’s place was homey, clean, peaceful, and had everything I needed for a relaxing trip. And the hospitality from Chris was perfect- she greeted me and brought me homemade scones, we chatted over a latte one morning but she never wore out her welcome- she was respectful of my time and my privacy so the amount of interaction was just enough to know she cared. When I arrived she had a charcuterie board and sparkling wine set out for me. I loved everything about her retreat: jetted tub, robes, treats, screened porch, sun deck with comfy chairs… and THE. VIEWS…. The SUNSETS were breathtaking from the sun deck! Next time I visit I plan to use her kayaks, the neighborhoods private beach, and her outdoor shower. The location was great too- several restaurants and shops nearby, beach ramps, and Avon is a short drive away too. I highly recommend!

We love this place. Our second time here. Lovely view and very private. When you first approach the house it's abit in diseray. Could use some cleaning up and landscaping. Don't let that detour you as the scenery and privacy are awesome! Chris is a Wonderful host! ❤️

What can we say!? We keep coming back! If that isn’t representative of how amazing the space is, and how lovely the host is, then I’m not sure what is. We always have relaxing time at Chris’s home, enjoying the sunsets and sleeping in one of the most comfy beds imaginable. We feel it is a home away from home, always welcomed, with great conversations (but privacy as well.) We can’t wait to go back.

Timber Trail Sunset Retreat was a wonderful place to get away to. It's very private, which was exactly what I needed. The views from the porch and sun deck were lovely. The room was so much more than I thought it would be. I paid more money for hotels that weren't as nice. The bathroom is very spacious, with a huge jetted tub and double sinks. Although the kitchen doesn't have a sink, it's close enough to the bathroom, you can use that, but Chris also has a bottled water machine (Culligan) available in the kitchen. It's also well stocked with anything you could possibly need to make meals there, and because Chris is such a gracious host, if there is something you need, likely she'll be able to get it for you. Chris has the seating area set up to make sure you're comfortable. There's a large TV as well as plenty of books you can borrow and a lovely chessboard. We even were able to play the video games we brought along. This really was the perfectly peaceful place I was looking for
