Our stay at Doug's cabin was a dream come true. The cabin is rustic and charming, a true escape from the city. There were lots of books, games, and dvds provided for us that even though it was too chilly to be outside, we never ran out of things to do. It was everything we were hoping for in such a beautiful location. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

My now wife and I very much enjoyed our mini honeymoon at this cozy cottage. From fishing on Clear Lake, detoxing in the sauna, to cuddling up for a movie by the wood stove with a bottle of wine, we had a very relaxing and romantic stay together. Thanks to Doug for being so helpful and responsive. We’d love to come back again someday.

We enjoyed magical stay at Douglas’ cottage on Clear Lake. The cottage is dreamier than photos can capture. We loved keeping warm with the wood fire stove. The sauna and dock were picture perfect. The space strikes the perfect balance between essential amenities (hot water, comfortable bedding, electricity, and a well stocked kitchen) and cozy nostalgic charm.We especially enjoyed the record player and even thought to bring our own records thanks to Douglas’ detailed listing. It was such a treat to unplug and take in our surroundings :). The lake and the surrounding area are absolutely gorgeous (we lucked out and caught peak autumn colours). We enjoyed canoeing around and exploring Blueberry Island. Nearby Parry Sound has everything one could need. We stocked up on pies and fresh sourdough from Loretta’s and enjoyed a quaint stroll around Rousseau even though not a lot was open on a Tuesday off season. Douglas was such a friendly and thoughtful host! A++++

Douglas provided great communication from the start! The cabin and location was exactly what we were looking for to get away from the city and enjoy some peace and quiet. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful rustic cabin in the woods! The wood burning sauna was a real treat after we jumped in the cold lake!! The wood stove provided heat and comfort in a gorgeous setting. We will absolutely come back! Thank you Douglas for a lovely stay and being a fantastic host. We felt at home and welcomed the moment we walked in the door :)
