Hai seems like a genuinely nice guy, but I cannot give his place a good review, not when I visited other units in the area that looked better, felt better, were bigger (Hai's units are very small- don't let the professional pictures fool you) had newer, nicer things in them, and cost the same as what I was paying. This is not to say that it was a bad place. It was an acceptable place. It wasn't dangerous or completely trashed or anything, and things like the electricity and the WiFi worked, and the location is good and convenient. But these things alone are not enough for a 5-star rating anymore.

The host was very friendly and available for questions 24/7. The checked-in was very easy, the room was clean. The location had a seven-eleven downstairs. within 10minutes with the grab you can find yourself in the city. i highly recommend this room.

I’ve come to Saigon many times. I’m familiar with the city but I have no local connections there, and this has given me some sort of liberty I need to be relaxed without having to be careful of what others might feel. The place is easy to find. The elevator is fast and there is a pool and a gym for guests to use. I’ve been both of the places and I found the pool was a bit cold for me, and the gym could be a bit crowded in the afternoon. But no worry you can always go to the gym in the morning, when everyone is still asleep. I did that. And it felt great. Location-wise, Rivergate is not exactly at the heart of the city. And for some reason, even though I stayed at the 15th floor I could still hear noises late at night. The traffic just never stops and it is amazing how high up the noises can travel. The noise disrupts my sleep a little, which makes me a bit drowsy during the day. And the drapes are not thick enough to block out the sunshine. But I guess it’s enough for most guests. I’m just very sensitive to sunlight in the morning. Download Grab. It’ll be easier to get around, because taxi drivers tend to NOT follow the map. A few days ago I was going to the bitexco for some food and the young guy in the taxi detoured in such a blatant manner he must think I’m another illiterate, stupid foreigner. The tower was right around the corner, but he was trying to drive around the entire block before he let me off. Saigon, when you measure it on foot, it’s such a great city. You can never have a moment that is left unsurprised. I hope our host may consider throwing in some tips for the guests in future, such as get around how-to, precautions you can take to prevent rip-offs, etc.
