The villa has a lovely location and a wonderful view. There is a generously sized swimming pool and a lovely pool area to spend time in. There is a sweet little cottage with double bedroom which will suit some guests very well. The main house, however, is very disappointing. It is really very small and difficult to move around in. The kitchen, in particular, is very dated and feels like it is not far from falling apart. It felt dirty to us, even though it had been cleaned. The bedrooms were also very small and it felt like the sheets did not fit the beds. When paying a high daily rental price, the house needs to feel like it has an element of luxury, it should not feel cheap. This house did. In addition, we were warned a few days ahead of arrival that we would be charged additionally for "excessive use of electricity and water". We would not use excessively but at this level of rental, this should not even be a consideration. We found the overall experience disappointing.

The villa is in a great location with an amazing view out to sea. The houses are well equipped but have features that mean they're unlikely to be suitable for really young children. Swimming pool is one of the best we've had on holiday, with plenty of places to sunbathe or sit in the shade (or watching for shooting stars after dark). The villa's location in the hills meant it was cooler than the coastal towns which was very refreshing after a busy day doing the tourist things. The local town has several great restaurants and shops for groceries. Note that the wifi is only in the main building, but we had no problem with mobile reception at the cottage for light browsing etc.

Such a beautifull place to stay. our host Vanessa was there at 11pm to check us in (an extra 50 euro's), show us around and provide us with all the neccesary tourist information. The garden is huge and very well maintained. Lovely pool and lot's of nice spots to sit and hang around. Beautifull view, not at the Etna but at the sea.

Staying at this villa and cottage felt like a privilege to experience history! The owners have done an outstanding job of preserving the history/antiquity of this property, while incorporating all the modern conveniences one could need on holiday. The villa is located in a very quiet and relaxing area, but it is extremely easy to drive to Taormina, Mt. Etna, Siracusa, etc. The drive times were short from this property. We found it easy to obtain groceries from the stores in Tregastani just minutes away and found everything we needed to cook. The villas were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pool is a wonderful reprieve at the end of the day. Most importantly, the management of this Villa is outstanding with excellent communication available at all times. We could not have asked for a more pleasant experience!
