We are a couple and have just stayed for a few days in Rosa's house in Palekastro. The location is quiet but close to the centre. There's a short drive or 30 minute walk to the local beach. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. It's well equipped and the sunny balcony has views of the mountains and the sea. Rosa was a wonderful host - she was very kind and generous. She supplied various fruits and other food and her freshly baked pastries were delicious. Suela, her daughter, organised the booking and communication with her was very good. We would definitely recommend Rosa's house and hope to return sometime ourselves. Jacqui and Mike

Everything has already been said, in the various comments on the site, about the very warm welcome that Suela's mother and her aunt give to their tenants and we confirm that the attention and thoughtfulness that we have received were absolutely perfect. We too were able to benefit from their culinary talents and, in particular, the famous honey cakes: the breakfast was excellent! Apart from these points, the apartment is spacious, pleasantly furnished and very well equipped. To be recommended as a base camp in the far east of the island. Despite the short duration of our stay in Palekastro, we keep very good memories of it.

Suela is a great host. She is polite, helpful, and very generous. She made us feel home. If we will come back to East Crete, we will sure stay at her place again.

Wir haben uns in Suelas Haus wohl und sehr willkommen gefühlt. Das Haus liegt zentral, trotzdem absolut ruhig. Die Wohnung ist sauber und gepflegt, der Kühlschrank gut gefüllt. Frühstück und wunderbare Leckereien werden vorbei gebracht, gleichzeitig ist die Familie wirklich zurückhaltend und diskret. Für uns war Palekastro eine Zwischenstation auf einer längeren Kretareise Die Waschmaschine war sehr demzufolge sehr willkommen! Wir fühlen uns reich beschenkt und kommen, wenn es uns mal wieder in den Nordosten Kretas verschlägt, gerne wieder.
