We had an outstanding stay at the cabin; it is absolutely gorgeous and fully stocked for Maine lake shenanigans. Even in the winter, buried in snow and with a pond frozen solid, we were cozy and warm and with a great view of our surroundings. The kids really appreciated the snow shoes and sleds. It was a great delight to our friends from the South who have never been this far North to spot deer and fox sneaking across the frozen pond in the morning. The interior of the cabin itself presents quite the view as it is constructed from absolutely mammoth planks of pine, held together with antique nails, and filled with rustic knick-knacks. Jason kept the driveway plowed and sanded and it was a short trip to make groceries or grab chowder and lobster rolls. Great hosts and great place.

What an incredible retreat! I spent 4 days here before the holidays hit to get some peace and quiet before the bustle of activities. As soon as I walked in, it felt like coming home. The cabin was tidy, cozy, and comfortably furnished, with plenty of thoughtful touches like marshmallows for roasting and assorted teas. The view is on another level; I was treated to a frozen pond where people ice skated during 2 days of my stay. It was so peaceful and pleasant sitting by the gorgeous stone fireplace at night. The location is conveniently close enough to Bangor for shopping and restaurants, but still far enough away to feel secluded and private. I will 100% be coming back anytime I can squeeze in time to recharge my batteries and enjoy the serenity. Jason & his dad are so kind and lovely to chat with, I had no worries my whole stay.

Jason has a lovely place. So nice that we decided to spend two days hanging out at the cabin by the lake rather than going and exploring parts of Maine further. We made a fire and enjoyed the records. It was quaint, cozy and warm. Every place around is beautiful to look at. There are plenty of things to do. I would definitely recommend this day. In addition, Jason and his family are very attentive to any needs. There are a couple times we reached out with a couple questions, and the response was immediate.

Jason’s place was quiet and beautifully situated along the lake. The kitchen was reasonably stocked and the beds were comfortable. However, we found regular mouse droppings around the kitchen and upstairs bath, so I’d hope the hosts can tend to this issue in the future.
