The house is in a great location. It is an older home which may account for the musty odor. Food crumbs from a previous guest were evident. I was disappointed based on the cost.

Eyri on Arnarstapi is a great place to stay. The setting just above the harbor, with sea views in three directions is wonderful. It is convenient to a lovely walk from Arnarstapi to Hellnar, literally just out the door. Of course there are all the other sights and walks within reasonable driving distance. The house is well equipped and has more than ample room. Lastly it was a particularly nice to see and feel the sense of place the house conveyed, whether through paintings and portraits--evidence of history-- or its location.

Excellent séjour. Vue sur mer exceptionnelle. Balade à proximité accessible à pied. La maison est grande, pratique et très agréable.

I enjoyed our stay, a very nice location despite the hassle of getting sheets. I didn't expect that! :The same day just before we arrived Gunnar asked us how many sheets we needed, we were 4 peoples (and register 4) and we asked to get sheets for 4 beds as we are not couples and despite our insistence that we had chosen his house because of the 3 bedrooms, no extra sheets were given. So we only got sheets for two double beds!! We still wonder why he bother to asked us …. The toilet paper was hidden in a small door in the cellar right next to the stairs, a useful piece of information because no store are close. We were able to leave an hour later, which was greatly appreciated.

This home was fabulous! Perfect location, tons of birds, excellent views! Gunnar was such a great host, always quick to reply. We felt so comfy and there was everything we could need here and more. We highly recommend this Airbnb!
