I loved this little cottage - it’s the perfect spot for a single or couple traveler. Beware of the shelf above the fridge though! I bumped my head every single day. The water pressure was spotty but otherwise it was cute, clean, private, and tons of nature to enjoy - I will definitely be returning.

Absolutely loved my stay. The lake was total serenity - with several ducks that had babies and would get very close and look for food/bread. Lots of Ibis, herons, and other friendly birds - it was absolutely heavenly and private. My stay was at the guest house which was spotlessly clean with fresh island themed paint and retro Florida art. Even a few books for reading and one book I loved so much, they let me trade for another book I had in my collection. Very close to the beaches and local restaurants and shopping. Highly responsive and very friendly hosts. I mostly enjoyed the lake because it was so serene and preferred it over the packed beaches which I only went to a few times. Worthy of those 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Enjoyed stay in small space. The pond was 15’ from the little cottage and it was busy with chord birds most of the day. Very relaxing to sit there and read.

We really liked the place. It’s simple and small but had all we needed. It’s close to a busy street but that was offset by the beautiful lake and water birds next to the tiny house.

Ibis Cottage sits behind another home, on a busy street, but it’s private and sits on a pretty lake with abundant birds and wildlife. The hosts were lovely to allow me to bring my dog to stay. The cottage is small, there is a queen bed and one small chair to sit in. The kitchenette has a small fridge and decent counter space, but isn’t really set up for cooking. The bathroom was clean and a good size. I encountered some unusually cold weather at the start of my trip and found the cottage only had heat from a single space heater. I used all the blankets provided at night! There is a wall AC unit for warm weather. The location is accessible to historic Venice and their beaches, and an easy shot up to Sarasota. Close to grocery, Starbucks, Walgreens & CVS, and restaurants. The hosts were responsive and friendly. I had no issues while staying. My stay was two weeks, maybe a bit long for such a tiny space, in my opinion, but it all worked out fine.
