This house is a typical basque farmhouse in the most beautiful rural setting! Horses and cows wander along the lane (behind a solid gate) and the sunrise is just wonderful to watch from the ‘breakfast bar’ outside. We loved it. The one thing that affected our enjoyment was the lack of phone signal. We were happy with the absence of wifi, but needed to do some work and be in touch with various people from the house — the closest phone signal is a 500m walk down the hill. Alberto tells us wifi should become available from October 2023, phone company willing. Overall, we would love to come back!!

Alberto is erg vriendelijk, het huis zeer compleet en ruim. Mooie omgeving in de groene heuvels en op 25 minuten vanaf Bilbao. Vriendelijke ontvangst en goede tips voor activiteiten in de omgeving. Het huis ligt erg rustig met een prachtig uitzicht en een heerlijke tuin.

What a beautiful stay in a beautiful location. The view is stunning, the space is great for kids, the house stays cool even in hot days, this place is a gem! Alberto is super friendly and helpful and we want to say a big thank you!

We had a lovely stay in Alberto's charming country house in the hills with our friends for a week in July / August 2023. Alberto was an amazing host and surprised us with fresh bread and some local chorizo and eggs and veg from his chickens / garden. The view is something we will always remember (from the garden and the porch) and the local walks up the hill and into the local woods were fab. Also the kids enjoyed the pool and the table fussball. Also we hiked in the gorbeia national park and had a lovely day trip to Vitoria Gasteiz. We would love to return!
