The house has wonderful views, especially of the sunset. Easy access to Booth Bay Harbor and area hiking. The house has a comfortable layout . Kitchen well equipped, but with random non-matching, tinny silverware and utensils. The interior of the house really needs a complete makeover. It appears furnished from Goodwill with tattered and ripped furniture cushions, burns in the bedroom area rug, patched screens and tattered lampshades on grandma’s attic lamps, etc . The furnishings and general décor were antiquated by the 1970’s and it’s not a “style” – it’s just an out of date mash-up. The hot water is insufficient for even 2 quick sequential showers. With 6-8 guests, this would be seriously insufficient. We are not at all picky about drinking water, but the tap water in the house is undrinkable, with an AWFUL taste. We advise using bottled water for everything. The internet and phone service was very weak (although this may be the area - they had Dish satellite service). The house as currently offered is not nearly worth the price. If only the owners would address the above issues, by updating the furniture, rugs, lamps etc, add a adequate size water heater, replace the BBQ and provide adequate lighting in the living room for reading, it would be a 5 star. We’ve been vacation rental hosts for over 20 years in multiple locations and would never offer a rental with such a dilapidated interior and clearly inferior quality furnishings and fittings. The good news is that Wendy, the house manager from Sea Maine is excellent – helpful, efficient and pleasant to work with. Best to look elsewhere, possibly for other properties managed by Sea Maine.

Clean, comfortable and pretty home with gorgeous views and great kayaking. Perfect for a family get away. Loved our time there. Get out at night and see the stars all around you. Wake up for the sunrise, you won't be one bit sorry you did, promise.

We had an amazing 5 days at this property. You won’t believe the views until you are actually there. Also, the interior is lovely and the fireplace will lull you to sleep at night. Wendy was an awesome host and answered any of our questions in literally minutes. Hoping to have another opportunity to stay here again.

Our stay at Trick's End was exactly what we needed to 'unplug' from 6 months quarantine, working from home. The house is situated on a quiet point on the island with water views all around. We loved sitting on the upstairs deck when the weather was warm and the sun room downstairs when it was a bit colder. The gas fireplace was easy to operate and was also a cozy addition on cool September nights. The kitchen was well equipped and made doing most of our own cooking easy. We brought our dog and loved going for walks around the island, as well as discovering many of the Boothbay Region Land Trust Trails nearby. This place is a real gem and we hope to return!
