We are happy to welcome a diverse range of guests to our private, self contained guest suite with bedroom, separate lounge/diner and kitchenette. This quiet, comfortable, well equipped space with private verandah and stunning views over the garden and forest is a delight for people of all genders, and nationalities to relax in. We offer an adults only space. Our house on a hill is in a gated community, set amidst 17 acres of private parkland, complete with lake, tennis court and bbq area. It is a short walk across the adjacent park to the centre of town. A flight of shallow stairs leads to the private guest suite It has its own separate entrance, private deck, and comfortable living space provided with books, games and wifi internet. The kitchenette is well equipped with crockery, cutlery and glassware; a fridge, 2 burner hot plate, steamer microwave, toaster, kettle, glass convection oven and electric frypan. A separate bedroom with queen size bed, and ensuite bathroom completes the charming space.

Great stay! peaceful and relaxing 🌻
This is our second time to stay here. The perfect cozy weekend getaway. So close to town yet having the privacy and the rainforest as your views from the balcony. As always, Karen and Andrew were responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable. This will always be our go to whenever we have the chance to go to Montville.

Montville is a charming, small Hinterland town with a village feel. It is part of the great dividing range around 400 metres above sea level with panoramic views over a coastal plain. There are restaurants, wine bars, a pub and a variety of boutique shops in the town within 10 minutes walk. Several national parks including Kondalilla, Mapleton Forest, and the Baroon Pocket dam are close by for bushwalking, creek swimming, picnics and bbqs. There are also a couple of stunning waterfalls nearby.
Maleny with its alternate vibe and bookshops and cafes to die for is a 15 minute drive away along a scenic route which has some of the best views in the Hinterland.
The beach is around 30 minutes drive away.
Having a car is essential. There is an exceedingly infrequent bus service, few Ubers, and taxis are only rumoured to provide a service in the area. Booking one involves prayer and several weeks notice. Even then, they may not arrive. Thankfully, we are less than a kilometre from the centre of town so easily walkable for any vaguely fit person. A small but steep hill is involved on the return journey. You will drive up it to arrive at the property so can easily decide whether to walk or drive to town. Parking in town is free.

I love being surrounded by the native birds and wildlife, and I’m just a hop away from dozens of places to put our kayaks in for a paddle, go for a walk or wander along the beach.
