Received a full refund for this stay. I'll sum it up in a list: - Check in by 3, had to wait 45 minutes as the 'cleaner' hadn't shown - Filthy toilet, urine everywhere and clearly not cleaned - Shower temperature control broken and stuck on too hot - Mould everywhere, both kitchen and bathroom - Fire extinguisher 3 years out of date with no fire alarm - Walls hadn't been wiped down in a long while, very sticky - Dirty blinds - Two large holes at bottom of front door letting in daylight and a draft - Towels were not changed, host became confrontational when this was pointed out - Spring exposed in mattress and generally uncomfortable - Bedsheets smelled like they hadn't been washed for years, kept in drawer with no airing - Gravel path to Shepard's hut was abysmal, difficult to navigate without bottoming out - Dog jumped on car, host didn't control it - Very close to hosts house, deceptive advert View was lovely though! A fantastic space for us. The teenagers had the little hut to themselves which was great, allowing them some independence. The verandah and fire pit area were great. Perfect for sitting outside for breakfast and toasting marshmallows at night. Lovely walks nearby. Daisy the dog was very friendly and acted as the kids' entertainment on the last night 🤣. We had very heavy rain on two of the nights which made for a very cosy experience. A great find and good value. Thanks Charlie and Daisy.

Stunning remote location with nature all around. The huts are very cosy and the main hut felt completely solid even in high winds. Walked to the top of the hill immediately behind and saw wild ponies and Port Meirion in the distance across the estuary. Day in PM was perfect - £30 set lunch in castle Deudraeth was delicious and we were given entrance passes afterwards. Charlie the host is a lovely person. Daisy the dog is lovely too. Helpful to others to know turn LEFT after cattle grid, and the mini-cooker is now mini-oven, and washer/dryer/ iron etc may be available on request, but having been a few years ago we weren't expecting them. I don't think the prices have gone up since then either, a slightly higher price would be more than fair, and might pay to renew the door and mattress, and bring back the lovely cotton sheets and towels, antique quilt, vintage style heater, and rag rug that we loved when we first visited, and which are in the photos. A very special place either way.

We had a lovely stay at Charlie’s place - so good it’s the second time we’ve been! Exactly as described and beautiful surroundings.
