Great quiet location yet short walk from town centre, a comfortable homely cottage rather let down by sloppy housekeeping. Positive points - plenty of room, lots of towels, comfortable beds (although one very creaky), decent shower, good wifi, warm and cosy, good parking, good location. However although superficially clean (hoovered, clean surfaces etc) there was evidence of lack of sufficient deep cleaning/care in housekeeping. On arrival there were used, dirty plates/cutlery in the dishwasher which had gone mouldy, mould in the washing machine, and ingrained dirt/grease in the oven and microwave which I had to clean before using. Only 3 dishwasher tablets had been left and the dishwasher also needed rinse aid, although I did get a very quick response from the host when I asked for those (next morning delivery) and an apology for the dirty dishes. Other minor niggles were insufficient hand soap/loo rolls/ etc which could easily be rectified with better attention to detail.

Wonderful location, cottage was clean, homely and very well equipped for self catering. Had a fantastic relaxing time, we will be back!
