It is a great experience. The house is big, clean, well organized, delicate, art, and, most importantly, REALLY HOMEY! Martina is a great lady with a golden heart. She genially cares about every tenant and maintains the house just like living in a family, and she will introduce you to all her neighbors and friends, which are also really awesome. Besides that, personally, I always have great conversations with Martina; you can feel a lot of positive energy from the talk and the attitude of her living life, which encourages and inspires me from time to time. I guess I am lucky to live in this house. FULL HEART RECOMMENDED!
Value for money. More suitable for long stays than overnight. Better identification of bldg or perhaps a photo would help.
Great stay in the house that has a soul! Close to BART, several buses to campus and 20 min walk to a huge shopping area. The room is huge and warm! Amazing stay!

My name is Martina Konietzny . I was born in Germany and studied Fine Arts in San Francisco. We own our home in Emeryville , seven miles from San Francisco, in the East Bay near Berkeley. My husband and I designed and built this home from the ground up. . We love traveling, reading and meeting new globetrotting adventurers. As an international family our goals are to create a positive, accepting and comfortable environment, a home away from home where everyone of all backgrounds, identities, and religions is welcome. Our Emeryville location is close to U.C. Berkeley, Lawrence Hall of Science, Jack London Square in Oakland , with ferry service to San Francisco, BART and buses to bring you to San Francisco. The Berkeley Bowl Grocery store will nourish you with plenty of organic foods. Several cafes in the neighborhood will brew you a hot cup of coffee any time. You could say we are smack dab in the middle of everything! San Francisco skyline can be seen from both of our westward balconies. As much as the space is shared with other guests you may find a surprising feeling of overall tranquility and privacy. Keeping our guests happy and healthy is our first priority.
