The village of Borve has a hotel with restaurant and pub (booking essential), a small convenience store, a doctors surgery, a lovely rocky shoreline just a short walk away, and a pottery and gift shop - so whilst the property is secluded and cosy, it is within walking distance of some fabulous amenities. Please note the amenities are always closed on a Sunday, and there is no public transport on a Sunday.
A short drive to many of the historic sites, the island is also renowned for its wildlife. Being on the Hebridean Way, on the way to the Port of Ness, the cottage is ideally situated for a break for anyone attempting the Hebridean Way.
Situated in an area with very little light pollution, it is also a fantastic place from which to spot the Northern Lights when they appear.
We cannot stress enough how important it is to book your ferries or flights in advance of booking with us, and cannot be held responsible for any charges you accumulate if you fail to book your transport to the island.

Snowberry Cottage is only a short drive (around 20 minutes) from the main town of Stornoway. There is sufficient parking for 2 vehicles, and the parking is private and not on street.
The cottage is on the W1 bus route (please note there are no buses on Sundays).
