We created St Ives to bring a touch of luxury to the heart of a Jamaican community in St Mary. The house has been designed to provide comfort in a remote, peaceful and beautiful location. Take it easy in the hammock or sit in the breeze of the outside seating area. Or simply watch the waves from the patio. The full height windows bring fantastic views of the sea to you when indoors. St Ives has a private beach where you can swim & snorkel when the sea is calm. Weddings here are possible. There are three double bedrooms, all with ensuites. The beds are hand made by a local artist, along with a range of fittings and artworks made from local driftwood. All bedrooms have views of the sea. There is also a sofa bed available on the mezzanine, which also has its own bathroom, which can be made up if needed. St Ives has been designed for eco-living. It is a quiet peaceful place with solar power and rainwater harvesting. As we have air-conditioning, St Ives also has a connection to the power grid that can be switched if needed. Rainwater is collected for use in bathrooms and water supply.

Beautiful and well put together, our flight schedule got messed up and they did everything to make our trip worth it. Very well detailed information provided by Mike and Grace was wonderful in helping make our stay amazing. Definitely recommend and hope it’s available for my future visits.

This is a beautiful home with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Mike was a gracious responsive host, who provided a super detailed guide to his home and the neighborhood, and we really enjoy the hospitality of Grace and all the locals while we are there. Highly recommend trying Chris's cooking - he was a fabulous cook and lovely to chat with! The entry way to the ocean was rocky and hard for little kids to swim in, but older kids might find it doable. We did enjoy finding lots of seashells and hermit crabs by the water. Our kiddo also enjoyed the description of the dragon rock! If you are looking for a secluded stay with wonderful local hospitality, Mike's place is recommended. The roads to get there get pretty bumpy, but it was an adventure and we appreciate the wonderful stay. Thanks again to Mike and Grace.

Strawberry Field is a wonderful and safe community. This is real Jamaica, off the beaten track, like no where else you will experience. Local walking and fishing trips can be arranged with trusted local guides.
While very remote, the community has a couple of bars where there is always reggae playing and you will be very welcomed. Plus amazing food cooked to order at Lloydie's Place for local caught fish and fried chicken to go with the red stripe, rum and off the scale natural juices. A short drive there are places to eat at Fanzo's and Sanchez' where he serves the best fried fish you will ever find.
Kwame falls is an hour walk or a shorter walk if you get a local boat to Black Sand beach.
Fresh fish and lobster when in season can be bought from the fishermen about a mile away.
Ochio Rios is 40 mins away for Duns River Falls and great beaches at Sugar Pot. Kingston is an hour's drive away for Bob Marley Museum and there are fabulous beaches nearby, including at Strawberry Fields.
We recommend hiring a car from Island Cars. We can arrange transfer from Montego Bay or Kingston.
