Lovely spot - beautiful sandy river/estuary to explore, cosy fires indoor and out, comfortable amenities - everything we needed. Quiet and peaceful - enjoyed the bell birds, finches and wrens by day and stargazing by night. Yummy fish and chips and beers at the pub nearby. Dirt road/driveway in was well graded and totally fine in my little 2WD Mazda 2, but might be a little sketchy in the rain/wet with 2WD.

Lovely little gem, identical to the pictures and description. The art on the building and the handmade feel gave it so much character. Definitely off the beaten track but we got there fine in a 2WD SUV (track was dry). If you’re keen for an adventure and okay with compost toilet and only hot water in the shower etc I would definitely recommend. The sandbar is very peaceful (follow the mowed path as per instructions) and you wake up surrounded by birdsong. We let Jesse know we were arriving late and they lit the fire so it was cosy when we got there!

Had a lovely relaxing stay at Jesse’s place. We went fishing and caught a couple of fish which was a bonus! Such a great place to relax and take in all the beautiful surroundings. If we’re ever out this way again this place will definitely be top of our list of places to stay!
