Excellent stay in palisade!! This place has all the bells and whistles from a Nespresso with excellent coffee options to a hammock & beautiful back patio to bedside chargers to an awesome record player. The kitchen is completely stocked. The beds are so comfy. Excellent value.
Cute place that was perfect for a weekend getaway. Had everything we needed, was private with great views! We loved drinking our coffee on the patio.
The best AirBnB I have stayed at in quite some time! Good location if you want peace and quiet. Within biking distance of some wineries and other shops. About a 15 minute drive to central Palisade. Very well appointed with everything I could possibly need. Great seating options in the back yard. Due to the building design the shower ceiling is quite low, as well as the door to the back yard. So watch your head. But I didn't find it to be that big of a bother at 6'7" tall. The rest of the property is well worth these "short" comings. Highly recommended!
Our stay at was absolutely fantastic. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could possibly need. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making our visit even more enjoyable. Thanks, Nina!
Karina’s place was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway! Her place is well appointed, well decorated, quiet, peaceful, and the bed was so comfortable! She was responsive, and accommodating during our visit. I would book with Karina again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Casa Nina is located in Palisade, more specifically in the "East Orchard Mesa Loop" also known as the "Fruit and Wine Byway."
East orchard Mesa is a mix of older and luxury homes on acreage. Because East Orchard Mesa sits just below Palisade there are many small acreage orchards, vineyards and agricultural properties as well as beautiful estate homes.
The fruit and Wine Byway boasts some of Grand Junction's most iconic views such as the Grand Mesa-the world’s largest flat-top mountain. The further east you go the better the mountain views.
The 25 mile loop is a system of paved backcountry routes which encompasses several hills and affords incredible views of the Grand Valley. Over a dozen of the area’s 20+ wineries are located along the Fruit & Wine Byway, as well as local farms with Apples, Apricots, Cherries, Lavender, Alpacas, and the coveted Palisade Peach.
Palisade peaches are grown throughout the summer and are harvested from late June through October 14th. The obvious best place to buy these natural delights is at the local farmer's market. My favorite peach stand is the Olsen Orchard stand. They also have the most refreshing peach lemonade!
For restaurants you could go to several great places in Palisade. A few of my favorites are Fidel's and Pêche. Outdoor activities are countless. The Colorado River separates East Orchard Mesa from Clifton and Palisade and all the recreational opportunities are around depending on what time of the year you come to visit.
SPRING: While many mountain regions in Colorado are winding down from their winter season, Palisade is at peak perfection with warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine. The region is primed for epic mountain biking in the Grand Junction trails and Fruita, our neighbor town and preeminent destination for bikers located 30 miles from Palisade. Hiking in also a must when visiting during this time; Palisade Rim Trail is one of the favorites to get a Birdseye view of the spectacular color splendor that unfolds below you.
SUMMER: If you plan a visit around August, the Peach harvest and the Colorado River will keep you and your family busy. Enjoy the local Sunday Farmers Market in downtown Palisade, kayaking, rafting, and other water activities. Temperatures during August can reach 100 degrees, so those looking for a taste of the hard stuff will be pleasantly surprised with our local breweries , hard cider makers, and distilleries.
FALL: There are a lot of great activities in and around Palisade including leaf-peeping in Grand Mesa National Forest and taking in the beautiful fall foliage on one of the many hiking and biking trails. Horse-draw carriage, apple picking, and farm-to-table culinary experiences are also a must.
WINTER: From our backyard, you can look up and see the snow on ‘The Mesa’, which is home to more than 300 lakes, dozens of hiking trails, and off-road four-wheeling. Powderhorn, the local, non-touristy ski resort, is just a short 45 min drive (38 Miles) from Casa Nina.
Look no further if you desire a unique getaway that can provide you with peace of mind, convenience, and a memorable stay, whether it's for adventure, rest, or a well-deserved time with loved ones.
