We rented Swanny's Lakehouse for the 2024 solar eclipse. Both the eclipse and the house were exceptional. Lesley and Kevin are excellent hosts and they obviously put a lot of thought and care in preparing the house. It has everything you need, and the hosts are very thoughtful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay, this place was everything we were looking for plus more! Would recommend for a getaway 100% with friends or family! The hosts were very responsive and quick to answer any questions I had before the stay. During the stay everything was perfect so no need to contact them. If you’re just looking to relax by the water, use their canoe/paddle board, or chill outside on the upper deck or lower patio, the bon fire area, game room, or watch tv inside, this will fulfill the need of every person you bring along! The cottage is not just beautiful it is also comfortable and private, both inside and out. In case you run out of anything, it is only a couple minutes drive to town. The cottage is well stocked with all the amenities. Lesley & Kevin have thought of everything. And the breathtaking view is the cherry on top!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the lake views are spectacular. The property is very well maintained inside and outside. We hosted a family dinner for 8 and we used the dining table extension, plenty of dishes, and fully equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfy and the house is super quiet at night. The hosts were always quick to respond with any questions we had.

The house was absolutely lovely, and situated so perfectly on the water it made for a beautiful and serene stay. Everything is updated and all details accounted for- a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of entertainment options. It's close enough to downtown to enjoy, but far enough out to feel peaceful and away from it all. Lesley and Kevin were responsive, helpful, and understanding with any issues we had during and after our stay. As other reviews state- be sure to bring water shoes because it is a rocky beach (once we got about 15 feet out though it was perfectly sandy!) Accessing the water was one of the few drawbacks- anybody not able bodied might not be comfortable getting down the rocks that serve as steps to the beach. The only other issue we had were the spiders. I attribute this to a visit later in the season and being a waterfront cottage, but those with anything near a phobia should be warned- they are healthy, bountiful, and they were not bashful.

There are no words to describe Lesley’s cottage. Photos do not do justice. It’s a little piece of heaven on earth. Our family stayed for 5 days and we did not want to leave. We were in the lake every single day canoeing and paddle boarding. The cottage feels just like home. Super clean and as everything that you need for a pleasant stay. Lesley was such a great host. Always very friendly and very responsive. Thank you for everything. We will be back for sure ❤️
