Staying here for the solar eclipse with friends was a highlight of the year. Really clean, comfortable accommodations in a wide open, beautiful outdoor space. Shannon and Wade were friendly and exceptionally helpful.

We had a lovely time at Shannon and Ward’s place! We stayed the night before the 2024 solar eclipse, and the accommodations were super cozy. Shannon has the home decorated so nicely, and it was extremely clean. It’s a spacious home with room for plenty of people to stay comfortably, but do be aware that the bathroom is not the most private if that’s important to you if you are staying with others (the door is only about a 3/4 door with large gaps at the top and bottom, and is located just off of the living room). For just my husband and I, it wasn’t a problem at all. We’d absolutely stay here again any time we’re coming to the area!

It has become a tradition we stay a weekend with my family around new years. Typically we stay at a hotel, but being around new years it was just too noisy well past midnight at the hotels. We decided to rent a house this year and glad we did! The home was beautiful, rustic, clean, and quiet! Would definitely stay again.

Shannon was an excellent host. She kept us informed of valuable information for our visit with the dogs. She went above and beyond when we asked to borrow an hdmi cable. The place was just like an old farm house with all the charm including a clawfoot tub. For those with disabilities it may not be the best choice. The Amish passed almost daily, so seeing the horses was amazing. The property was beautiful, with lots of places to walk around. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the smells! It wasn't too far from town, and the town of Mayville has everything you would need. As stated before Shannon went above and beyond Christmas day, when we realized our dvd player was missing the hdmi cable and we wouldn't be able to watch our traditional movies on Christmas. She saved the day, and was quick at response time. I would highly recommend if you want a true country get away. We would definately stay again.

Everything was exactly as described. Very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely plan another stay in the future.
