A perfect retreat. Set in a quiet location within short walk of the beach, through a wooded copse filled with birdsong. A spacious 3 bed, stylish, mid-century property, suiting families and those requiring accessible facilities. Step free access to downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Marske village is on the doorstep, with shops, cafes and pubs. The North York Moors and pretty coastal towns, including Whitby are nearby. Great local walks , featured on TV's ‘Coast’. Full kitchen and outdoor area. The property has three bedrooms and each has a generous double or king bed. The smaller room bed converts to a comfortable sofa. There are two bathrooms. Large open plan lounge and dining area, extending to a small conservatory which opens to an outdoor area with seating. The kitchen also has a breakfast dining area that can double as an office space. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking family meals.

Communication with Cate was excellent, very quick responses to the few queries I had. So impressed with how spotless clean, warm and well equipped the house was. Easy access to the beach made our morning walk that much more enjoyable. Suffice to say we would definitely book this property again. Thank you Cate for putting your home on Airbnb.

Great stay at Cate, place. Good location, easy from A1M and lots of lovely beaches near by, I loved Runswick Bay and Sandsend. The place was clean and warm. Kitchen was good. We like liked the decor and felt very at home. Our son loved the upstairs, the bed was so comfortable he went to bed early - unheard of for a teenager! I loved the downstairs bedroom as I’m recovering from knee surgery! Good communication from Cate, she even offered to find me a shower stool. The bottle of proseco was a nice touch. It’s somewhere we’d return to.

A quiet residential location 5 minutes walk from a beautiful sandy beach. 10 minutes walk to the village centre with a range of shops cafes and pubs. Near to Saltburn and Redcar, pleasant coastal towns with many amenities. Within easy reach of Staithes and Whitby, iconic stunning seaside locations. Great area for discovering the North York moors and Cleveland Way with amazing walks.
Parking is free on the road and usually very easy. Local train station, Longbeck is a short walk and has a regular service to Saltburn, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington. There is a good bus service and it is possible to travel all the way to Whitby by public transport.
