Welcome to The Best Dam Cabin! We're located on the San Marcos River, just a short drive to Austin and San Antonio. This hand-built tiny cedar cabin is nestled inside an early 1900’s cotton gin. Includes unlimited river access and the use of paddle boards/kayaks with your stay. Whether you want to get away and read a good book near the river, go fishing or play games with the family, there's fun for everyone of all ages. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Glamping style! The tiny cabin is nestled inside an old cotton gin. It has 2 queen beds. One queen bed downstairs as well as a queen bed in the upstairs loft. The cabin also has two AC units. One in the upstairs loft and one downstairs. The private half-bath is also inside the cotton gin, approx. 50ft from the cabin. (shower coming soon!) There is a small kitchenette inside the cabin which includes a mini fridge, ice maker, microwave, toaster, tea kettle and a coffee bar with a drip coffeemaker (coffee provided). *There is NOT a stove or oven inside the cabin for cooking. Guests are able to grill/cook inside the gin. Provided for cooking: charcoal grill, charcoal, grilling/cooking utensils, electric double burner and an electric hot plate. Guests will have private access to the cotton gin during their stay. It’s an open barn concept so there’s plenty of room to grill, hang out with friends, play games and entertain! Fishing is allowed above and below the dam. We offer day passes for friends/family. Please reach out to me for info/pricing. The property and outdoor shower are communal with tent campers staying on the property. All guests staying on property must agree to the Liability Waiver listed under house rules and sign waiver upon arrival.
