Enjoyable place to stay while visiting. You have four doors with screen doors for easy access to the beautiful garden, terraces, and patio. There's also a spiral staircase to the roof with tables and chairs up there. The king bed was comfortable and the view in the morning was gorgeous (with a terrace you can walk out on) Water pressure is not great, but there was plenty of warm water for a shower. Big kitchen equipped with things you might need like coffee, milk, and a french press. Jim was very helpful in introducing us to his place and making us feel at home. He also offered fresh tamales from a neighbor each morning and had plenty of helpful recommendations! Heads Up: The GPS wants to take you up a steep two-way road that is ONLY one lane wide at the beginning. I found that a bit scary, BUT there is another way! I drove by the steep road and found a longer, wider, easy-to-drive road to get to his place.

Jim's casa was a great for our two week stay. We enjoyed the comfort of the indoor space, beautiful plantings; plenty of room to spread out. In a neighborhood of working local families and well-maintained homes; we walked to a nearby supermarket, weekly open market, and restaurants. It's a steep hike down the hill to the Centro area and we knew that; 20-25 minutes for us in our mid-60’s – would have been a tough grind for us to walk back up so we took cabs. To quote a local guide - “20-25 minutes down and 80 pesos back up.” Jim met us at arrival and provided helpful tips during our visit. He is in the casita on the property and was respectful of our privacy yet close by if needed. Jim communicated very well via Airbnb messaging to coordinate scheduled cleaning and answer questions. He surprised us on Sunday mornings with gift tamales made by a neighbor-an unexpected treat! Our experience was relaxing, invigorating, and memorable!

We had an amazing stay in San Miguel de Allende. Jim’s place was impeccable. Located in a nice quiet area that is just a 15 min walk down to the city center. The private and secure indoor parking spot was awesome! Overall Jim’s place is quaint, comfortable and extremely peaceful. Highly recommend it!

Jim es un anfitrión al 110%. Si tienes amor por la vida, dedica un rato a charlar con Jim. Es un ser humano excepcional. Siempre nos ha sorprendido con esos detalles extra, que no voy a mencionar así les dejo la sorpresa de descubrirlos. La casa de Jim es un lugar en el que puedes quedarte 1 día o 1 mes y vas a sentir que no quieres irte. Gracias Jim por tu gran labor. Abrazo
