Óbuda, the third district of Budapest is traditionally known for its garden city hospitality and cultural life. Although the district was completely rebuilt, it kept its traditions. The neighbourhood is full with trees, parks, playgrounds and restaurants. One of the largest public parks of the city called Hajógyári Island (island of river Danube where Sziget Festival used to be held) is only 15 minutes walking distance. The ruins of ancient Roman settlements and amphitheatres can be visited in the area, and the Budapest History Museum is also located here, in the Kiscelli Castle building. The historical photo archive of Budapest is also located in Kiscelli Castle. The Polaris Observatory and the Hungarian Trade and Hospitality Museum, together with the Óbuda History Museum, also take care of cultural programs. Nearby is one of the most prominent contemporary art centers, the Godot Gallery. Due to the proximity of the Danube, there are many bathing and beaching opportunities. The Római beach bath and the bath on Csillaghegy await visitors there, the first periodically, the second even all year round. Of course, those who practice more active sports will also find countless opportunities in the district, not only gyms, but also with the help of, for example, the Monkey Boulder climbing hall or SUP yoga, which is a completely new and especially great experience on the Roman coast. The Római-part, where you can reach the river in its natural environment, without any concrete or other built environment, is one of the most beautiful parts of the Danube, which is accessible from the Buda side. A great place to visit by bike or just walking. Apart from these, golf lovers should only choose this district, as Academy Golf Budapest and the Hajógyári Island Golf Farm await visitors and those who enjoy this special sport with great love. There are a variety of small and large restaurants in the area, and the post office and medical service are a few minutes away from our house. The larger LIDL and ALDI grocery stores are a few minutes' walk away from the house and there are technical and clothing stores within a kilometer. Since the city of Budapest was born right here in Óbuda in ancient times, Óbuda is not far from today's downtown. Flaneurs Nest is ideal for those who want to live just far enough away from the bustling city life in Budapest, from where you can get directly to the city center in 15-20 minutes with a single bus, without having to transfer.

-Public transport:
The terminus of bus number 9 is in the immediate vicinity of the house, visible from the balcony. With this bus, you can get to many points of the city directly, without having to transfer, or even to Deák Square, which is the center of the city. At many points, this bus has transfer options with other means of public transport, trams, metro, and others. The small, electric train called HÉV takes you to the Castle District in 10 minutes, or on the other direction in 30 minutes to Szentendre, the picturesque artists' town on the Danube Bend. Its stop called Kaszásdűlő is located 350 meters away, on Búza utca, and its stop called Filatorigát is located on Ladik utca. Buses numbered 9, 34, 106, 111, 118, 134, 226 and night bus lines numbered 918, 923, 934 also stop at the so named „Bogdáni út” common bus stop, that is located nearby, in front of Szentendrei út 34.

Parking is unlimited and free in the small P+R parking lot located 350 meters from the Flaneurs Nest's building, in Búza utca, at the Kaszásdűlő HÉV stop.
Parking in the in the immediate vicinity of Flaneurs' Nest building costs HUF 300 per hour from 08:00 to 18:00. Nights and weekends are free of charge.
An alternative to shorter parking is the parking lots next to the nearby LIDL and ALDI stores, where you can park legally and free for 90 minutes.
